Luton Airport have revealed that between January 2008 and September 2008 it was the UK’s number 1 airport for passenger growth year on year.
Just under 500,000 passengers travelled with the time period, a 6.5% increase based on 2007. New flights to Poland, Jersey, Italy and mainly Cyprus have helped with the growth as well as the good management of the airport. The infrastructure around the airport is also continuing to be developed with excellent transport links into London, Midlands and South East.
The airport announced on Christmas Eve that it had launched its revised Airport Surface Access Strategy, which the public has been invited to comment on.
