Yet another travel firm has ceased trading. Xcape with us.com, an online hotel reservation site, yesterday announced it has closed with immediate effect (30th April).

Just had to pay again for my hotel 4/5/09 as excape with us have not paid them and we arrive tomorrow,I only found out by accident!
I paid for my hotel on the 21-4-2009 and I had to pay again when I arrived at Natali hotel in Torremolinos on the 11-5-2009.They said they had bookings up until September that xcape with us ltd had not paid,so there is a few people who are unaware of the situation and it looks like most will find out when they arrive at their hotel.
I have a holiday booked for September, I got an email from them on 27th April after I requested my booking reference (I had lost it), nothing since, the only reason I found out was because I went on to check the date for payment of the balance.
Trying to rebook the hotel now but I doubt it’ll be for anywhere near the same price.
Just so annoyed they haven’t bothered to inform me.
I have booked for October, booking not honoured although paid in full and have had to re-book and pay again. No information from xcape not a happy chap.
We arrived at Sol Principe in Torremolinos on 20th May, with my Voucher and Invoice, only to be told that Xcapewithus had not paid the Hotel for bookings. Having travelled since 6am and this was 10.00am, we had no alternative but to pay again. This cost us 439 euro. It shocking to let people leave for holiday without the decensy to let them know there is no Hotel for them. Paid by credit card so money is lost.
Same happened to us, only found out we had no accomodation when we arrived at our hotel. Had to pay again. Does anyone know if this company was ATOL, ABTA protected, I have looked but didn’t look hopeful.
Note to Trisha – if you paid on your credit card you should be able to claim it back from them.

We were a party of six on a hen weekend – We paid them on 28/4 and they went bust on 30/4. We had not been informed of this (how do these people sleep at night?) we arrived at 7pm very tired to be told our booking had been cancelled – Had to pay again – we have downloaded a claim form but not holding our breath !!! AS PAID ON DEBIT CARD !!!
booked with xcape with us for a holiday in july. Paid deposit for hotel and informed booking had been cancelled rebooked with somebody else, but having terrible problems getting money back from credit card company. So much paper work!!!!!
